Sprain Brook had been specializing in rehabilitative care for thirty years and once enjoyed outstanding census in terms of bed/patient occupancy.
Challenge: To arrest an occupancy decline that had begun in the late 1990's.
Activity: Schnitzler Associates developed a marketing/communications campaign to facilitate relationships with hospitals and doctors, including presentations to hospitals and professionals, as well as visits by hospital VP's and HMO administrators.
Result: An on-line admissions facility for hospital referrals; Contracts with HMO's; Census increased by 33%.
