Pokeach Ivrim:
Pokeach Ivrim (lit. restores vision to the blind) was an ad hoc effort to
raise funds in order to rescue the eyesight of an impoverished
8 year old Israeli girl who suffered from a rare disease.
Surgery could only be performed in the United States,
and the cost of transportation and medical care was prohibitive.
Challenge: To
rapidly generate the necessary funds for transportation,
surgery, recovery and the period during which the girl's
parents were unable to work for a living.
Activity: Schnitzler
Associates generated a full blown public relations/fund
raising effort, including the planning of several major
dinner events.
Result: $70,000
was raised within several weeks.
