Hebrew Academy for Special Children Center (HASC Center):
For 45 years HASC has been providing educational and clinical services for developmentally challenged Jewish children and adults, and services to their parents and families.
Challenge: Despite its national reputation, HASC had never been able to penetrate the Yididsh-speaking Orthodox community.
Activity: Created heightened awareness of HASC through Yiddish-language press and articles,in order to win acceptance of HASC as a primary resource for Chareidi families.
Result: A new day hab facility was opened within eight weeks, featuring Yiddish speaking staff that was sensitive to the community's culture.
